Sasha in the Pilot House on Tardis - June 2010

We are currently back on the boat in Norfolk, Virginia  and looking forward to heading north on the boat again.   

Last year was a bit crazy for us - many changes. We bought a house in central Florida - located in Eustis, a pretty little town Florida's Lake county.  We also adopted a cat - or to be more precise - a cat adopted us.  After we moved into the house, we visited the local cat shelter - a 'no-kill' facility with about 400 cats and kittens.  Sasha kept coming to me and so we ended up taking her home.   We're happy to report that she seems to like the boat - at least so far.  

Our plans are to spend the summer on the boat - heading back up to upstate New York and Canada - some of our favorite cruising grounds.   Our goal is to make it to Quebec City this year - a destination we've never managed to get to in past years.  Not sure where to after that - sort of depends on when we get there...  One thing we've learned over the years of traveling on the boat is to not make too definite plans.  Reality and mother nature tend to have other ideas.
