Moving from California to Florida - March 2006
Saying goodbye to California was hard - especially leaving all of our good friends. This is a picture of Janet and Jeremy having a last ice cream at Tuckers with friends Amy, Wayne, Harriet and Chuck.

Tardis was loaded up at Svendson's marine in Alameda, California ready for her trip across the country to Florida.

We arrived in Jacksonville on March 16 and spent a few days playing tourist before the arrival of Tardis. Jeremy's checking out Jacksonville Landing in downtown below. We plan to come back here with Tardis. They have free overnight dockage for up to 72 hours.
We took a side trip over to St. Augustine, home of the beautiful Flagler College. Jeremy also found this car parked across the street.
Tardis Arrives in Florida
Very dirty but otherwise fine, Tardis arrived safely in Florida on March 21. She came into the boatyard like a queen in a parade. There were two escort cars. The white one in the foreground drove in front of the truck. It has a pole attached to the front bumper that is used to tell whether or not the overhead clearance is enough. The black one in the back brought up the rear with flags and a 'Wide Load' sign.

Tardis was offloaded and blocked up at Holland Marine in Green Cove Springs, Florida.
Jeremy and Rick, the truck driver, are supervising.
Rick, the Anchors Away truck driver that delivered Tardis safely from Alameda, California to Green Cove Springs, Florida.
It really is a small world - Rick grew up in Miami and graduated from the same high school as Janet - Miami Coral Park.
